CAI Concludes Mission to India  12/26/2006


Computing Alternatives, Inc. (CAI) has just returned from the U.S. Department of Commerce Mission to India http://www.export.gov/indiamission.

The goal of this Mission was to have U.S. companies such as CAI develop relationships with Indian companies. India is one of the fastest growing economies in the world. It is predicted that at the current rate of economic growth, India will be the third largest economy in year 2015 after China and the US.

We are developing long-term relationships with some of the Indian companies that the U.S. Department Commerce setup for us. Our partnerships with the Indian companies will help not only export our services to India, we also plan to help other US companies have presence in India for exporting their products and services.

The US Commerce Departments International Trade Administration (ITA) and its U.S. Commercial Service posts in India will host a U.S. delegation to the India Business Summit to be led by Under Secretary for International Trade Franklin L. Lavin, November 29-30, 2006. Computing Alternatives, Inc. (CAI), an Anchorage, Alaska based IT Consulting company has been selected as a delegate on this mission expected to be the largest in the Departments history.

This mission will provide the delegates with access to Indias high-level business, industry, and government representatives and opportunities to gain timely insights into the countrys trade and investment climate in strategic breakout sessions. A Following the Summit, CAI will attend an ancillary mission to Hyderabad. The spin-off mission will include market briefings, networking receptions, and one-on-one business appointments with prospective agents, distributors, partners, and end-users.

Chuck Becker, Director of the U.S. Commercial Service Alaska operations said, All mission participants were subjected to a rigorous vetting by Commerce officials in Washington, D.C. and in India to ensure that their service or product will find customers in the Indian sub-continent. CAI offers unique expertise in a highly competitive industry sector.
