Management

Mr. Sunil Sethi, Founder, President, and CEO of Computing Alternatives, has been providing IT Professional Services for more than twenty-five years in the US.  He made Alaska his home in 2000 and in the last fourteen years has implemented many systems for the State & Federal, Oil & Gas, Hospitality, Financial, and Telecom Industries.

 

Sunil has been involved with the Oil & Gas Industry since 1998, when he developed a Mineral Tax System for the Wyoming Department of Revenue and provided an on-line tax and royalty filing solution for the Wyoming Oil & Gas Operators.  Sunil moved his company to Anchorage, Alaska in year 2000 when the Alaska Department of Revenue invited him to adapt Wyoming’s systems for Corporate Tax, Motor Fuel Tax and Oil & Gas Production Tax systems.  He also worked with the Oil and Gas Division in Alaska for designing many systems such as Lease Administration, Permitting, and Royalty Accounting, including Royalty-in-Kind billing for Flint Hills.  Sunil’s IT Company is an approved vendor for the State of Washington and Alaska.

 

Gauging an immediate need by the offshore industry in the Gulf of Mexico and in the Arctic to understand and implement SEMS I and II regulations mandated by BSEE, Sunil has done extensive research on SEMS compliance, risk management, assessment, assurance, and regulatory compliance for the offshore industry.

 

Sunil, a native of Punjab State of India, is a Naturalized US citizen. He attended MIT affiliated BITS Pilani in India for BS in Chemical Engineering before completing his dual Masters in Chemical Engineering and Information Systems in the US.

Shaun Sethi

Vice President & Systems Development

 

Mr. Shaun Sethi, Vice President and Chief Developer for Computing Alternatives, has been providing IT Professional Services for more than eight years.  Shaun relocated from Alaska to Texas two years ago in order to provide onsite IT solutions for State, Oil & Gas, Hospitality, and Financial Industries.  He manages the CAI branch in Katy, TX.

 

Currently, Shaun's most recent work includes his design and completion of a database model to house user data on a realtime basis for a top Oil & Gas company.  In addition, he designed and continues to maintain a website and web services using his expertise in Visual Studio .NET 2012 4.5 framework, allowing users to view live data and import for reporting purposes.  This process includes electronic forms design and maintenance for iPads, which is stored in CAI's Data Warehouse.

 

Previous projects completed by Shaun include work with the State of Alaska via the Task Order Procurement System (TOPS),  providing expertise as an Applications Developer, including ASP.NET/SQL Server, and Java/Informix applications.  He was CAI's Senior Developer and Data Architect for the Alaska Department of Corrections, Time Accounting Application.  This web application was written in Java, using MyEclipse for Spring, Apache, and Informix.  Shaun was also CAI's Senior Developer and Data Architect for the Alaska Department of Administration, DGS Parking Database Replacement Project, developing the ASP.NET Web Application using C# and SQL Server 2008.  

 

Additional experience in Shaun's portfolio  includes working as an Application Tester for the Alaska Department of Health and Social Services, WIC Spirit User Acceptance Testing, and CAI IT Consultant for Restaurant Point of Sale Systems, REVL Communications, Bombay Deluxe Inc., and FOTW LLC.

 

To supplement his hands-on experience, expertise, and commitment to continuous learning, Shaun has attended Alaska Charter College's CCNA Boot Camp, .NET Programming courses, boot camp for Microsoft Certified Professional Developer, and core programming courses at FRCC in Northern Colorado.

Keith Watt

Chief Technology Officer

Mr. Keith Watt began his career with CAI’s inception after graduating from CDI of Business & Technology in Vancouver, Canada in 1998.  He started out programming back in the Windows DNA and classic ASP days, the predecessors of .NET, and now handles software architectural design and development. Keith was responsible for designing and implementing the architecture for DOGMA and also designed the authentication component of this system.

Keith has extensive experience and expertise with Microsoft ® based applications such as .NET and SQL Server.

Keith has more than fifteen years of experience in the IT field, from programming to architectural design and team lead.  Nine years of his experience is using the Microsoft .NET platform with a focus on Windows and Web-based development.  Keith has proven ability to lead small-to-medium sized teams of developers as well as working closely with business stakeholders to design, release, and maintain business critical products.

During last five years, Keith has gained experience in the financial industry, leading technical teams and designing products used by the world’s leading banks.  He has a strong background in the Oil & Gas industry, gained in working with Wyoming and Alaska Departments of Revenue and Oil & Gas Division.

Courtneay Bartholomew

Director of Training

Computing Alternatives is very excited to offer our IT Training Courses  via our Training Division, under the leadership of Mr. Courtneay Bartholomew.  Courtneay has trained more than 3,000 students since 1994.  He has developed curriculum for Cisco, Microsoft, CompTIA and Advanced Telecommunication programs at Ilisagvik College, Barrow, Charter College and Alaska Career College in Anchorage Alaska.

 

Courtneay is a Certified Microsoft Applications, & SQL Instructor, Microsoft Certified System Engineer (MCSE), Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT), Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), and a CompTIA Network Specialist.

Jennifer Sethi

Chief Content Editor & Data Analyst

Ms. Jennifer Sethi, CAI's Chief Content Editor and Data Analyst, has been providing Content Management Services for over ten years.  Her skills incudes content editing and management, data analysis, data reporting, marketing design, and website design.  

 

Currently, Jennifer has been providing Weekly and Monthly Assurance reports for a top Oil & Gas Company as part of CAI's real-time data capture and Data Warehouse services.  Her previous experience includes teaching at Colorado State University, as well as the Stargazer Observatory in conjunction with FRCC.  Jennifer is proficient in Microsoft Office, SpotFire, Adobe Photoshop, Moovly, Audacity, and Windows Movie Maker.

 

Jennifer has a BA in English from Colorado State University and an Associates of Science from FRCC.  Her MA will be awarded in 2016.
